The Magna Carta is a document that gave people rights that a king could not ignore. This document was signed in 1215. The document  listed all of the rights that the king had to respect. The king who signed this was King John. Magna Carta means in Latin: Great Charter. After the Magna Carta was signed many things the king could do were not allowed. like putting someone in jail fir no reason and everyone even the king had to obey the law. From the Magna Carta a similar one was made in England called the Parliament. The Parliament was made by a council of nobles. The Magna Carta had 63 different demands that King John had signed to follow most of these demands were just what were needed to prove a lot of things  and give everyone a chance. The Magna Carta was so right and gave peopled a chance it is still what we have day but is bit different
